We shoot aerial stills and video for property listings across Buckingham, Brackley, Winslow, Bicester, Towcester, Milton Keynes and Aylesbury.

Ground photography sells the inside of a house. It is much worse at the things a buyer of a village property is actually weighing up, which is how much land comes with it, what it looks out over, how far the nearest neighbour is, and whether the drive is a track or a road.

What aerial adds to a listing

The whole plot in one frame, so a buyer can see how far the garden or the land actually goes.
Setting. The house in its landscape rather than cropped out of it, which is most of the argument for a village price
Land and outbuildings. Paddocks, barns, stables and anything else that is easier to show than to describe in a paragraph
Access. The drive, the lane, the parking, and how the property sits relative to the road
Development land. Site boundaries, aspect and surrounding context, for anything being sold with potential rather than as a finished house

Who we shoot for

Estate agents, mostly, on individual listings and on land being sold with planning potential.

Property developers, both for marketing and for recording a site as it changes.

Commercial and agricultural property, where the scale of a site is the thing being sold.

Home owners, who do not have to wait until the house is on the market. If you want aerial photographs of your own home, print quality rather than the web sized versions we display here, we will do that as a job in its own right.

What you get

A set of photographs from several angles, shot at 50 megapixels, retouched and supplied as high quality jpegs.

Where you need them quickly, we can usually get proofs back to you the same day as the shoot.

If you want something other than the standard package, we can supply web resolution versions, the RAW files, or the images with the property boundaries indicated. Ask when you enquire and we will price it in.

Video

We can film and produce video to go alongside the photographs.

Filming and editing takes considerably longer than photography and costs more, and we would not usually turn an edited video around on the same day as the shoot. If you only want the raw footage, that is quicker and cheaper, so tell us which you are after.

What it costs

Stills start at £150 for a single property.

That covers properties within about half an hour of Buckingham. Buckinghamshire runs a long way south, so anything further out is the same rate plus travel, quoted with the job.

Video is priced separately, because it depends on whether you want the edited film or the raw clips. Tell us which and we will quote it.

If you are marketing several properties a month and expect to use us regularly, get in touch about working on a retained basis instead.

Usage and licensing

Images are licensed for you to use on your own marketing and on the property portals, for as long as you are marketing the property. That covers Rightmove, your own site, brochures and print.

We retain copyright so that we can use the images in our own portfolio. If you need copyright assigned, we are happy to discuss it, and if the shoot is confidential we will sign an NDA.

Weather, and what it means for a listing deadline

Wind and heavy rain ground the aircraft, so a shoot can move by a day or two. Low cloud and flat light will not stop a flight but they will cost you the photograph, and for a property in open countryside the difference between flat light and good light is most of the value.

If you are working to a launch date, tell us the date rather than the day you want us there, and we will fit the weather around it.

Credentials and insurance

We hold an A2 Certificate of Competency and carry £5m public liability insurance as standard, with cover up to £10m on request.

We have been flying commercially since 2018, originally under a CAA Permission for Commercial Operations.

We are based at Maids Moreton, just outside Buckingham. Most work is within about half an hour of there, which covers Buckingham, Brackley, Winslow, Towcester, Stony Stratford, Bicester, Milton Keynes and Aylesbury, and the villages in between.
