Let your vision take flight with our drone filming services.
We can film aerial drone footage to you for use across a wide variety of platforms, from broadcast to social media.
With high resolution 4K cameras capable of filming H264, 100mbps video at up to 60fps, filmed using a variety of different colour profiles, during the day, or even at night, we open up access to dramatic aerial footage.
Have you noticed the amount of drone footage being used in television and cinema productions these days?
Sometimes it’s subtle, a brief cutaway that breaks up the action. Other times it’s the main focus – incredibly dramatic shots that add a real sense of occasion.
Thanks to advances in drone technology, you no longer need a Hollywood budget and a large file crew to be able to access this kind of footage.
Get Low
The great thing about drone filming is, just because we can film from 400ft up, doesn’t mean that we have to. The only limits are those of our own imagination.
The video below was shot entirely using one of our drones, at Cotswold glamping site Campden Yurts. As you can see from the footage, most of the filming is very close to ground level.
You can see more about our work with Campden Yurts in our portfolio section.
4k or not 4K
4k footage undeniably looks great. However, a lot of the time the highest resolution output that our footage will be used in is going to be HD 1080p. Despite that we still recommend filming in 4k (and if we are doing the editing then this is always what we will choose).
4k footage gives us far greater scope for cropping, zooming and other editing tricks that can be done in post production. It means no loss of quality when the final output is going to be HD.
All of the sample footage above and on our YouTube channel has been through this process (shot in 4k, edited to produce HD final output) with the exception of any shots of a Sinclair C5, where we were specifically asked to film in HD for the client, who was doing his own editing.
Whose Edit is it Anyway?
If you’ve got your editors already lined up, we’re more than happy to film and supply raw footage. Ideally we’d have contact with your editor to discuss preferred formats, so that we can make sure that the footage we record matches the expectations and requirements for your edit.
We can also supply editing services and deliver a completed film. We edit images and film using the Adobe Creative Suite and can edit exclusively using footage that we have shot, or include footage from other sources (subject to it being suitable) under your direction.
Need a square video for Instagram? No problem. Need your video to come in at a specific file size or duration? We can do that too.
Ground Filming
Ideal for promotional purposes, we have hand-held, gimbal mounted cameras that we can use to capture additional footage, or simply for filming in their own right.
We produced this video for a punt company in Cambridge, using a mix of hand held and drone footage:
